on May 3! With those 23 saves, she has not only tied her career
high, but she has established a new CAA season high and is tied
nationally for the second highest single-game total this season.

Why do
you play?
I love the game; it's a huge part of my life. I always have fun.
I play for my team and myself, we always have each other's backs. |
Why are
you a goalie?
I actually started playing goalie because I wanted to wear all the
cool gear, none of the other players wore a helmet or had a big
stick with a pocket. Now I play for the feeling that I get when
I step on the field, I know I can make a difference. |
How important
is the goalie position?
I believe it's the most important position on the field. You are
the quarterback of the team. The attack starts with a save. The
keeper controls the pace of the game, you are the one that pumps
up your teammates. You must always stay calm and keep your defense
ready. |
Any advice
for aspiring goalies?
You should never put your self down, the ball has to go through
11 field players to get to you. You should never let the other team
see you sweat. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do
something. Always reach higher and higher and keep making new goals. |
