end. |

Why do
you play?
I love the game of lacrosse- it truly is the fastest sport on two
feet. I also thrive on the competition and I greatly enjoy being
part of a team. |
Why are
you a goalie?
Originally, I became goalie because I was too slow to play on the
field. But I remained a goal keeper because I love the challenge
and goalies can change the course of a game- there' s no better
feeling. |
How important
is the goalie position?
It is essential- as my coach Kim Simons says all the time- goalie
is the most important position on the field and it requires the
most athleticism. |
Any advice
for aspiring goalies?
Keep at it- the first few years aren't always that fun. Getting
hit hurts- but as you get better, and the shooters around you get
better- you'll have a lot more fun. |
Quote
regarding the goalie position
You may sometimes take a beating in goal- but you will also experience
the rush of stuffing a cocky attacker, or the high of grabbing an
interception you knew was going to an open player right in front
of the crease- there is nothing better than helping your team shut
another team down. |
