Why do you play?
Because lacrosse is a great game and its something I've grown up watching and playing.
Why are you a goalie?
Originally i starting playing goalie because I really couldn't cut it at midfield any more. I like being a goalie because I feel like i'm in control of a game. I feel that a goalie can impact a game more than any other player.
How important is the goalie position?
The goalie position is extremely important. A hot goalie can completely take over a game. The key to the position is consistency.
Any advice for aspiring goalies?
Growing up I always went to games and camps and watched how goalies played. I recommend working with a goalie coach in high school or even before. When I went to St. Paul's I used to work with Larry Quinn outside of practice. Just listening to him speak about the position made me a better player.
Quote regarding the goalie position
You're only as good as your last save and you're never as bad as the last shot that went by you.
