Darryl Delia
Yale University
Division I

Brief Bio

“Darryl Delia, Yale’s top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator the last five years, was named interim head coach on Feb. 1, 2003.

After four years as the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator, Delia took over the offense in 2002 and his charges responded by averaging 7.15 goals per game, which ranked 13th in Division I. Yale also ranked sixth in extra-man offense, eighth in assists and 13th in goals per game last spring while going 9-4 and finishing second in the perennially strong Ivy League.”

Importance of Goalie Position The goalie is probably the most important position on the field. Unlike the other positions when the goalie has a bad day your team usually loses the game. I think the goalie is the key to a successful program. Hot goalies tend to influence the outcome of the game. He is the quarterback of the defense. He is the eyes and ears for your defensive unit.

Who's his Goalie, recognized as HOT by Goalie Nation?
