| Brief Bio |
“Kim Simons became head
coach of the Georgetown University Women’s Lacrosse program
in the fall of 1995, and she has been making GU Women's Lacrosse
history ever since. Under Simons' direction, the Hoyas are
moving steadily towards bringing a National Championship to the
Hilltop. That goal almost became a reality in 2001 and 2002
when Georgetown advanced to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship
Game. In 2001, the Hoyas took the Maryland Terrapins to double
overtime before falling 14-13, and they made a return trip to the
Championship Game in 2002 but fell 12-7 to the Princeton Tigers.”

| Importance of Goalie
Position |
I believe that the goalie
is the most important position on the field. The goal keeper's play
can change the entire momentum of the game and a goalie can single
handedly win (or lose!) a game. I also believe that the goalie position
is the toughest one of the field and you have to be incredibly tough
-- both mentally and physically -- to be successful. |
