| Importance of Goalie
Position |
If I was starting a franchise,
my top two draft choices would be a goalie and an attackman. No
one quite impacts a game like a goalie.....nothing lifts a team
like that unexpected save. We always say the great goalies get all
the shots they are supposed to and half the ones they shouldn't.
If you had to choose between a great goalie and a fair set of defensemen
or, the other way around, I think you go with the former every time.
An experienced goalie can also be a very effective quarterback at
the defensive end but, you are looking for that "ball stopping"
ability first and foremost. |
