Why do you play?
I play because I love being part of a team. To come out everyday and be able to compete against such great athletes and know everyone is competing for the same goal is great.
Why are you a goalie?
Goalie is an extremely challenging position, and I like the responsibility of trying to stop shots that such talented attackers take on me. The challenge to keep the ball out of the net is something that makes you want to work harder.
How important is the goalie position?
The Goalie position is important because you can see the whole field. You get to be the leader in the back and direct traffic. Without the goalie, the game wouldn't be as exciting because no one would be defending the goal and goals would come easy. The goalie provides attackers with another obstacle to get around before they reach their reward, but we want them to ever get that reward.
Any advice for aspiring goalies?
My advice for aspiring goalies would be not to get frustrated! It's almost impossible to stop everything, so goals are going to happen. Just breathe deep and get your eye on the ball.
Quote regarding the goalie position
Lacrosse is such a great game with many eye-opening and thrilling plays occurring often. To be able to stand in the crease, make a save and hear the crowd cheer is a great feeling. To know that you can put a stop to an attacker's goal of scoring is a great rush. That feeling keeps me going and wanting to be more and more successful for my team that depends on me back there.

Awesome, aggressive. A total team player. Jen is the backbone of the defense.
