Why do you play?
The sport of lacrosse is graceful yet intense. I have enjoyed it
since the first day I picked up a stick. |
Why are you a goalie?
Playing goalie allows me to help dictate the pace of the game. I
can make an immediate impact in almost every play by either my actions
or my voice. |
How important is the
goalie position?
The goalie position is essential in creating dictating the attitude
of the team. By remaining positive and strong, a goalie can lead
the team to success by example. |
Any advice for aspiring
goalies?
Being a leader is intrinsic to the goalie position. Being able to
verbalize your visions is essential to leading your defense to success.
Always let your team know what you see. If you play with confidence
the rest of the team can embrace the attitude! |
Quote regarding the
goalie position
Confidence in yourself and in your team leads to success as a goalie. |
“ Anna had a great season, finishing
second in the nescac for her save percentage and third for her goals
against average. Anna is a consistent player and a tremendous leader.
She is always 'coaching' her defense and working to help them play
better as a unit and as individuals. Anna's play in the cage was a
very important piece to our team's success in 2003. ”
