Brief Bio

“The Ranger athletic staff welcomed Kim Christos in 2001 as the newest member of the athletic department.  Christos became the Rangers’ eighth head women’s lacrosse coach in the program’s 23 year history.  She guided the squad to their eighth consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference championship, and was voted the MAC Coach of the Year in her rookie campaign.  After posting a 14-5 overall record and a 16th national ranking, Christos’ squad made its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament.”

Importance of Goalie Position Here is why I believe the goalie position to be the most critical position on the field. A goalie can change the outcome of a game. When the defense does their job and forces the attacker to take a no angle or weak shot, the goalie is rewarded for good position and makes the save. On the other hand, if an attacker slides by a defender, the goalie has the opportunity to make a great save that can change the tempo of the game. Some goalies are good at playing their angles and make the saves they should, while other goalies not only make these saves, but are athletic enough to step up and make the big save! Our freshman goalie, Casey O'Brien, is one of these goalies who can step up and make the big play.
