| Brief Bio |
Heidi Godomsky begins her
10th season at the helm of Colby's women's lacrosse team. During
her tenure at Colby, Godomsky has worked to build the lacrosse team
into a nationally recognized program. So far she has been highly
successful. Colby finished as one of the four best teams in NESCAC
in both 2001 and 2002, earning back-to-back semifinal NESCAC tournament
appearances. Colby has made five trips to the ECAC tournament (NESCAC
no longer competes in the ECAC tournament), including a trip to
the championship game in 2000.

| Importance of Goalie
Position |
The goal keeping position
is obviously one of the most important positions on the field because
goals (and keeping them out) determines the outcome of a game. The
goal keeper has to be a very poised and confident invidividual since
they are the last person in the line of fire. Even if a defense
screws up, the goal keeper can still make a save. The goal keeper
also has to be a leader. They are ultimately the person in charge
of the defense and they can see nearly everything from their position
in the cage. |
