Why do
you play?
Because I love the sport and my team more than anything. |
Why are
you a goalie?
The junior high coach asked me in 8th grade to play (I had never
picked up a lacrosse stick before) and I fell in love with the position.
Before 8th grade I was a serious gymnast, so being a goalie let
me keep some of that individual mentality while being part of a
team. |
How important
is the goalie position?
The goalie position is crucial. A goalie really can make or break
a game. But at the same time, they are just another player on the
field, every position out there is important. |
Any advice
for aspiring goalies?
Always keep your head up. Goals will go in. Not even the best goalie
saves them all. If you let one in, just keep your head up and get
the next ball. Also, trust your defense, they’re out there
working their butts off to protect you. Trust them and appreciate
them. |

regarding the goalie position
I knew you were going to make a difference here because you never
say ouch – Coach O (my goalie coach freshman year of college) |
